Toshiba REGZA 52HL167 for $1941 shipped! and that includes Toshiba A30 for free!. yes HDDDVD is dead but it is free! anyways..
heybige Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Yup - that's a Legacy You might be able to find a similar deal with either Sony or Panasonic that includes a Blu-Ray player, though they may be more expensive (although Sony and Panasonic make better sets in their respective categories (LCD & Plasma). I own both Blu and HD. As much as I'd like to support HD, recent announcements by Best Buy and NetFlix to support Blu only speed up what was already inevitable...

As much as I'd like to support HD, recent announcements by Best Buy and NetFlix to support Blu only speed up what was already inevitable... yeah.. i read that.. but if you are gonna pay for something.. and if it is free.. why not.. in a few months you can buy an influx of tons hd dvd content for $1-$5... if i do go this route.. i might just end up getting 2 playa.. dunno.. i also don't like the fact there are 'version' of BD.. what so i have to buy a separate player in order to see new content? wait what? v2.0 disc can't play in 1.1 playa? ugh!
