.AWD.GT. Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 My 98 has that ugly wood-like trim around the dash, center counsel and door buttons. Anyone have a remedy for this?

Carter Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Mine is like some sickly cherry plastic ugly wood. I dont think of wood on a car as "luxury" For a sports sedan I would like to see brushed aluminum, or just flat black at the very least.
D_J Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 You can just buy an after-market dash kit to cover it. Pick your own colour and they still make them for '98's: http://exoticwooddashkits.com/start.php?id=SWD Sherwood is one of the better brands
Gmoe Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Not that hard to to. Looky here I have since installed an AT knob from Casopolis Design instead of the stock knob.

Hey awesome post and tips there. How did you pull-off the center console side trim pieces to re-paint them? Are they glued or held in with retainer clips? They look so easy to break when removing. I thought about using that vinyl sheet in carbon fiber instead of paint...but tricky to get it perfect without any bubbles.
massdrewski Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Well. I have a 98 without all of that Wood trim. Maybe you would be interested in buying? the cbest way would be to Prep and paint.
