05_Sport Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Hello- I have an 06 Legacy, and wanted to add the aux in. I have already used the Jazzy mod, but wish to have it more integrated. I have contacted a few dealers, and they say that part 86201AG67A (the 6 disk changer, auto climate, with aux in abilities) is in hold status, reserved for warranty repairs only. Does anyone know where else I can get this? It's the one that says P204UH on the front. Thanks!
goneskiian Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 It was a few weeks ago that I remember reading somewhere here that they only had a few of these left in the country so I'm not surprised by your findings. I guess the other place to look is here in the classifieds. Maybe someone getting Highline Audio's remanufactured units can hook you up. Cheers! -Ian
HighlineCA Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 There is less than 5 in the country. I have an inside connection that could get his hands on 2 of them. They are technically reserved for warranty. Its not cheap by any means, but I can get you one. Set aside at least $600. There are a few others out there now that work pretty well. Does the Jazzy use a blank CD? We installed one (from a vendor here) and didnt have to use a blank. It worked out pretty well, aside from the popping when switching to/from the aux source. We are currently developing an Aux in that will work like an Aux in should. No noise, no popping and no CDs. Rich @ HCA
ama0787 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 When do you think it will be available? Any chance it will make use of the fourth position in the circular selector switrch we already use to go between am fm and cd ?
05_Sport Posted February 11, 2008 Author Posted February 11, 2008 I would assume this is a temporary supply shortage? I'm not in a rush to get it, but it is something I want to do eventually.
mvigneau Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 If you are looking for a 4th position option, check out my self-install option. If you are uncomfortable with soldering, you can have your local audio place install it (ask them by bringing my printable instructions also available in the topic/post). http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71387 No Silent CD Aux-In Solution
