Carter Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 A friend of a friend... has a set of coilovers he had on a 07 LGT, I have an 08 LGT and Im not sure if they would even fit. He says they were $1400 new and will sell them to me for $700. I have yet to find out the brand. Im not sure I want to invest any money in suspension as I dont think I need it at this time. I am still doing some searching and wondering what brand they are.
whitetiger Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 coilover are worth it if you have a purpose for them. for People who want a better matched spring and strut with more adjustability, nothing is better than a good coilover set. If you aren sure you want coilovers though, dont buy them.
GoRilla Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 If you have the need for adjustability, then yes...coilovers are worth it. If not, its more of a headache than its worth. Maryland's Suby friendly Realtor. My favorite suby shop: http://www.IAGPerformance.com
RaceComp Engineering Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 The usual saying is "if you have to ask, then you don't need coilovers." This isn't always true, but it's usually a good indication. What's the brand? - Andrew
sirsimon Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I'll chime in here... I will be posting a full review (with pics) shortly, but... I just got my RaceComp Engineering Tarmac coilovers installed today. Before I was running on my stock (Spec.B) Bilsteins and STI pinks. In a phrase: I wouldn't go back to the old set up if you paid me! These (particular) coilovers rock. Great ride, amazing handling. I never knew what I was missing!
