kienai Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 EDIT: Took the pics down just to be safe. A truck was traveling down the highway at around 1 o'clock in the morning near Tulsa, Oklahoma. Motorcyclist was traveling at ~120mph and ran into the back of the moving semi-truck. Truck driver said he felt the impact, and it took almost a 1/4 mile for him to pull over. This is what he found... http://politiquesusa.blogspot.com/2008/01/mortorcycle-crash.html EDIT: He survived?? ..... Wear a helmet.
magnus617 Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 picures no worky never, under any circumstances, take sleeping pills at the same time as a laxative.
HangKen Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Is this the one where he is smashed in the back section of the truck by his head?! If it is, probably better off link is not working.......
kienai Posted February 4, 2008 Author Posted February 4, 2008 ^^ You got it. Weird... The pics are working just fine for me.
nemo Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 no he died. there was an article about it. i'll see if i can dig it up. If you don't vote Trump, out, you're a bigot who hates america.
kienai Posted February 4, 2008 Author Posted February 4, 2008 I edited it, the link should be up there.
CTATV Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 if he lived after getting his toes dragged a quarter mile at 70mph his feet are still fuxored
CTlegacy06 Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Speed kills. It doesn't matter how fast your car/motorcycle can go... whats more important is how fast it can stop!
CTATV Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 why i love my supermoto, only tops out around 100 but gets there very very fast, wheelie in any gear. 500cc single cyl. 2 stroke. piston same size as chevy 350 http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o160/fiidgett/cr5cropped-1.jpg http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o160/fiidgett/100_3515.jpg http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o160/fiidgett/100_3509.jpg http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o160/fiidgett/100_3107.jpg
spongemonster Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I'm not sure this should be in general funny.
CTATV Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 ^^^ since he was only doing 160mph on a regular highway, Sympathy is limited and I think general funny is fine.... just stupid to go that fast... And if you do you are accepting the risk of doing what this kid did. I have the same riding jacket as he does, but in red. dont see me doing 160 on the highway on my bike...
kienai Posted February 5, 2008 Author Posted February 5, 2008 I'm not sure this should be in general funny. I got this through an email at work, I thought it was funny until I found out he was dead. I had to edit my initial post a few times to compensate for the news.
BDII Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Am I the only one who thinks motorcycles are stupid? Need forum help? Private Message legGTLT
HangKen Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Sports bikes can definitely do 150+ mph easy but is it worth it ? Not really but some people's priority is different.... I guess At that speed nothing is gonna help a front end collision. Helmet, gloves, leather, Hell even if you have an air bag on your jacket, it wouldn't still help.... Bike riders should carve the twisties!!! At speed limit!!! Of course!!
CTATV Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Am I the only one who thinks motorcycles are stupid? YES, motorcycles aren't stupid, people are stupid, when you put stupid person on motorcycle then death quickly ensues.
nemo Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 YES, motorcycles aren't stupid, people are stupid, when you put stupid person on motorcycle then death quickly ensues. You could say the same exact thing about cars. If you don't vote Trump, out, you're a bigot who hates america.
CTATV Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 ^^^Yes but saftey features keep the stupids alive, at least on bikes they rarely kill others and natural selection can do its part to rid us of the weak gene pool

Bike riders should carve the twisties!!! At speed limit!!! Of course!! Devine intervention is about all you can depend on. I disagree about the twisties. Most riders are not experienced enought to even approach the limits of the modern sport bike, myself included. I saw a guy loose his arm after crashing trying to carve up twisties. Pick your spots carefully, ride your section of road prior to screwing around, make sure some truck didn't drop a half yard of gravel in your favorite corner, etc.
CTATV Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 my second cusin bill lost his arm on sand, but he was drunk. feel bad but still, if you wear gear falling over and sliding wont kill u usually
