How long ago did you flash to stock? Or have you always been stock. Like iNVAR said, pull a learning view shot. Not too uncommon for the stock map to show some flkc

So, I go out plug it in what do I get... connecting.. reading ...connecting the while the seatbelt chime is annoying me also,, I so want to shoot that annoying thing.. I will try a bit later. So I guess there is a limit to what parameters I can check. Working now.. So what is this learning view you speak of? is it just a screen cap or is it something more. sorry not used to computer tuning. never mind I found the program Yey for the op20pt32.dll not found in C:\Windows\system32 error.. I need a beer..

Fixed that error.... Now I get this....

So I was searching no luck... , what causes a low IAM flkc 1 or 4 byte..?

I already told you in my previous post. IAM drop is usually caused by knock. Whether it's real knock or false knock, your car is dropping IAM because it thinks it needs to.

FLKC 1 byte is fine.

Do not try to log 10 million parameters. You are already at the very limit of stuff you can log. Remove some of the crap you have in there that you don't need. Like get rid of CL/OL fueling, A/F correction, Injector Duty (unless you have a reason to log this), Vehicle Speed, Manifold Absolute Pressure.

Don't use Engine Load (calculated). Use Engine Load (4-byte) Get rid of Knock Correction Advance. Get rid of WGDC Max (unless you need it.)

Add in Ignition Total Timing. Add in Gear.

So I somewhat recently purchased an 05 lgt from a dealership near where I live. The previous owner(s) had done some upgrading. I am not sure of all of the upgrades, but the ones I know of are:

larger turbo (not sure what size, but it's definitely larger than stock but not ridiculously huge)

perrin tmic

perrin headers/uppipe

cnt downpipe

Also, in the glovebox, I found dyno charts from 2 previous tunes that had been done in the car.

The car currently has a stock catback, which is my main priority at the moment, but after that has been upgraded, I am thinking I would like to have the car re-tuned, as the last tune was several years ago. I am not all that concerned with power, I mainly want reliability. I was looking at the website of a tuning shop near me (precision tuning), and they list a few different tuning options: utek, opensource, accessport, hydra, and AEM. I was wondering if someone could give me some insight as to what the differences between these options are and what I should go with to get what I am looking for.

I take it you are in Central Jersey then? Can you post the shop names from the 2 dyno sheets and the numbers?

Have you found an accessport in the glove box too? I'd imagine your car was tuned with open source if not.

Yeah, im in NJ. And yeah I just gotta go grab them from my glovebox and scan them. I didn't find an accessport but then again it also came with the stock legacy catback, so I'm sure that what I have now is not the full package it used to be.

I've already done researching i have a 5eat i needa get my timing belt and water pump done, tranny fluid flushed and re applied, differential fluid changed and as for performance im ordering a catless up pipe new intake filter and upgraded oil lines. I just wanna know what the best direction for a stage 1 tune is because thats all i want atm. I heard that the factory tune can burn your valves, reason why i wanna go stage 1 and also because of a little performance gain :D

I might be jumping in at the wrong place here but I'm in need of some help. I have a few exhaust questions.

I have recently purchased a 05 Legacy GT. Previous owner told me it had a Megan Performance Cat-back exhaust and DP along with a Subaru Intake. Came with a Cobb AP but I was under the impression it wasn't currently tuned. Come to find out it's a Turbo-back exhaust and I cannot pass inspection due to the lack of O2 sensors, and he was running Stage 2. I am unsure the best way to go about handling this.

Would it be wise to get the stock exhaust which he claims to still have and return the exhaust to stock while leaving the DP and intake?

Is uninstalling the tune "bad" for the car with those aftermarket parts on it if I were do this?

When the car "inspected" I was told there is some sort of conversion kit for turbo-back exhausts? I haven't had time search deep into this so I'm hoping some of you can provide me with some insight.

If you put the stock dp in and put the rear o2 sensor in, flash your ap back to stock, you should be able to pass. Swapping the dp pipe isn't too difficult. I'm guessing the up pipe was changed, which isn't usually a big deal, as far as passing. If the egt sensor was taken out, you'll need to do the resistor mod so it doesn't throw a code. Egt sensor plugs in next to the yellow front o2 sensor by the back of the engine bay on the passengers side. If nothing is plugged into the sensor you'll need to add a resistor as I mentioned earlier. I would start with that. Also get the stock intake in if it's not already. The spt intake is crap.

Thanks for that! I have a feeling he doesn't has the stock intake. Would you recommend swapping the STP for the Cobb intake?

I should probably also state that I went for the inspection with the tune. Didn't check until after the fact and found stage 2

Go back to the stock intake set up. You won't have to worry about your MAF not being calibrated and it works well, power wise, until you're beyond stage 2. You can find them used on the site.

You haven't done any research at all. You should've done the research PRIOR to buying the car.

You have a DP and a catback. That is the definition of a turboback, And I don't know how you could've missed that it's stage 2 because a DP + catback + tune is the definition of stage 2.

Never buy a car without doing your research, especially a modded car.

Do you have an O2 sensor in the DP? Because I do. MOST people do. It's rarely ever removed. So you should check for that first. As far as the UP goes, maybe you should make sure of that first too.

Previous owner never mentioned that he did. Only DP, intake and what he referred to as "cat-back" exhaust. When really it's more of a turbo-back. Just my luck with all this

Well you can leave the catback on, put on the stock dp, get a stock intake and unmarry the AP to put it back to stock and pass emissions.
