SubLGTaru Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I am in a tizzy on deciding whether to go with 17" or 18" summer wheels. Note: This will be on a stock suspension. Want to know the pros and cons of each and what your personal experiences are with them. Can you recommend what tire size to run with each for a stock suspension? Need opinions so I can decide what to buy. Thanks in advance!
muddy02 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 i've been on 18's from last summer through this winter now and i've had no problems, i'm also on stock suspension. if you want to see how they'll look, check out http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1299717&postcount=13 you're on 17's now, so you should have an idea of what those are like EDIT: after rereading your OP, i think you're asking for specific wheels, not sizes in general. Mine pictured are the ROTA Subzeros. 225/40/18 It's not about speed, it's about acceleration!
SubLGTaru Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 Do you think it makes a big difference in how high the car sits by going with 18's over the 17's, or is it not that noticeable? Also, what are you running for tire width/sidewall?
muddy02 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 i think the thinner tire makes the wheel gap look bigger, but i haven't noticed a difference in driving. It's not about speed, it's about acceleration!
