Vimy101
oh noes smog!!! Interesting comment. Back in the 70s, you couldn't look at the house across the street in LA without seeing smog. It was quite a bad problem. Legislation was passed to start cleaning it up and it worked to a fairly impressive degree. Now we have folks who never saw how bad the smog problem was either because they're too young or because they never bothered to inform themselves believing that smog has never been a problem. I swear humans really are just a bunch of stupid monkeys for the most part.
SnowBound BP5
So smog has actually gotten better in LA, not worse. That's good to know. I didn't know LA in the 70s was that nasty!

With a little more work, they'll soon be eliminated." http://www.aqmd.gov/news1/Archives/History/50th_photos.htm

Vimy101
^ Looks like Mammoth's season is getting shorter (though most boarders don't use that much terrain). It's part and parcel.

Yea, it could be post Golden Age pollution levels they want before the existence of humans numbers.

subienubie
so when ponch and the other guy from CHIPS were riding on their motorcycles, the air quality was worse? Even with all the factories built after we're actually doing better?
