Wooderson
As stated, I will being changing my trans/rear diff fluid to Extra-S very soon here. What are the new sealing washers/anything else I will need? A part number(s) would be great.
rao
You don't need any new ones The transmission once can be reused and the rear diff is a tapered thread with no washer or gasket Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT

rony
The fun part about the tranny is the T-70 Torx bit you will need to get the plug out.. My Car vBGarage
bluesuby
You don't need any new ones The transmission once can be reused and the rear diff is a tapered thread with no washer or gasket I recommend some Permatex thread sealant for the rear....at least for the bottom (drain) plug. rao
I've done it both with and without thread sealer and no leaks either way. Just think the Audi folks would buy new plugs.... Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
fweasel
And some sage advice passed on to my by Rao in his driveway... ensure you can remove the fill plug in the rear diff BEFORE you remove the drain plug. Hilarity may ensue. ignore him, he'll go away.
