^^ nice choice.

I'm already thinking of my next one and cannot decide. It has to be bigger than a 20g though.

Exactly the way I was thinking when I picked this turbo. I'm impressed with it… of course my only comparison is the stock vf40 and the vf39 I ran for about a year. If I were running a 5mt I would want it to spool a little quicker, but as it stands it feels great with the 5eat.

Also, it might be because of its age but I can hear it spinning once I turn off the car. Sounds pretty cool.

I had my car dyno tuned March 5th. The tuning was done by Bren Tuning. He uses PSI Racing's (Auburn, MA) Dynapack 2000.

Set-up:

BNR EVO16G

Invidia Catless Up Pipe

Megan Racing Catless Down Pipe

Infamous/Stromung 3" Cat Back

AVO Top Mount

GrimmSpeed EBCS

Stock Air Box & Filter

Stock Fuel Pump

Stock Injectors

Conditions:

Mean Temp: 39 °F

Average Humidity: 81

Elevation: 531'

Prelude to Results:

We did somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 pulls on the dyno before it was all said and done. It was pretty evident early on that the injectors and fuel pump weren't going to be able to keep up with the amount of air that this turbo was flowing. The stock fuel system couldn't keep up after 5500 RPM. There is obviously some power being left on the table.

Results:

Boost: 19 PSI @ 3300 RPM tapering to 16 PSI @ red line (6250 RPM)

Horse Power: 291 @ 5300 RPM and staying relatively flat to red line

Torque: 322 @ 3100 RPM

Conclusion:

The car drives awesome. The torque is right there whenever you need it. The turbo is very responsive. My tuner was impressed with how well the BNR EVO 16G was performing, and if he's happy I'm more than happy.

Got my car dyno tuned today. The car has

40BB Turbo

WBR FMIC

Short ram intake

walboro 255 pump

JECS 740cc injectors

50/50 BOV

While tuning the car we reached 18psi, and I decided that was a desirable tune. My TQ readout is nuts, which is why we stopped at 18psi rather than take timing out to increase boost. I am happy with the results of 283.05 hp and 403.11tq

Gents,

anybody got a GT3076r .63 AR OR GTX3076r .63 AR installed on a LGT with a dyno sheet?

I'm considering PERRIN rotated GTX3076r .63 AR and I'm wondering what would it give with a typical tuning setup with 93 octane.

There have been a handful of GT3076'd LGTs around here, but NASIOC.com has lots more dyno sheets from STIs and 2.5L WRXs, and those will also show you what you can expect.

The GTX is very new, though. Very few have been dyno'd in Subarus yet. And I hear there are currently none available, so it's going to be a while.

That was my ideal set-up (before the EFRs came out).

Jeff Sponaugle (sp??) has a nice write up on NASIOC on his GT3076 .63.

I don't think you want the GTX3076 w/ .63 a/r. The exhaust housing is already limiting the GT3076 old wheel, it will not be a good combo on the GTX IMO.

The replacement is likely the new GTX3071 w/ .63 ar housing. Should have the same power potential as the old GT3076, but with a little better response.

If you want the higher end power of the GTX3076 (which IMO is a little over board on a street car, 400 whp is enough) then go with the .82 housing.

Or............................. you could get a TS EFR7064 and make about the same power or more, with better response.;)

260WHP/290WTQ @ 17.5 PSI

And for a reference, Tim tuned my stage II 07 STI on the same dyno to 300whp/325wtq

Most likely my future setup. What were your numbers stock? Just wondering what kind of gains I should expect. Also how is the sound comparing to stock DP?
