I Cant Drive 55
I used Goo Gone and some fishing line like everyone suggested. I got it all off for the most part. There is still some adhesive, but it's so worn down that rubbing with my thumb doesn't remove it. I tried with my thumbnail, and some paint scratched. Nothing major though, some touch up paint will cover it back up. Anyways, within the first 10 feet or so of the trunk you can make out where the badges were. I tried using some cleaner I had to get rid of the outline/adhesive, and it didn't really work that good. My car goes in for full detailing on Monday, so hopefully they'll fix what I couldn't. leftride
nothing that some waxing/polishing shouldn't fix. *vb gallery*
whobaru
I had the same silhouette of the badges. It just faded after a couple washes. You can't see it nemore.
Bbc84
adhesive i used WD 40, i sprayed a paper towel with WD40 and just pat it on the adhesive and it melts it away. and for the stuborn dealer sticker, i bought some Turle Wax Bug and Tar remover, i sprayed it on and it foamed up, then the glue just wipes away, and i go back and was the trunk w/ clean water. I Cant Drive 55
I guess it just looks worse when the car is dirty. I'll try some WD40 tomorrow.

Whirling Dervish
Goo Gone is the best remover ever (in case waxing/buffing doesn't get it out).

Xenonk
3M makes a product designed to remove adhedsives and the associated wax areas. Once you use the 3M product, rewax that area. It's safe for painted surfaces. I use it all the time when I need to remove my decals. Keefe
underpowerd
^+1 or use a bit of 3m rubbing compound; that'll do the adhesive and the fingernail marks in one shot; then rewax as keefe said.
Metal2You
Um, wouldn't waxing just seal the adhesive on? LOL! Try some clay bar cleaner. Thats the ticket for sure.
I Cant Drive 55
I'm gonna try to remove it now. Like I said though, if I can't get it, the car goes for a full detailing on Monday.
