ubersuby
I'm lookin at 05 lgt's - i would love to get a 5mt but due to having a wife that cant drive a stick.. im forced to go for the autos. I would really love to have it at a stage 2level, map and tbe wouldbe sufficent... my question is can the auto handle stage 2? right about where would i be at in the 1/4 mile with such setup? total n00b question i know. dr. pepper
The 5EAT will be able to handle Stage 2 power levels just fine. Some people who mod their 5EATs get a tranny cooler, but at stage 2 you shouldn't really have to worry about that. As for 1/4 mile times, it'll be plenty fast. ubersuby
awesome, thats a lot of relief for me... can't stand driving a stock car. Currently driving around in a 03 Jetta 1.8t, stage 2.5 (turbo inlet pipe, TBE, revo stage 2 map, DV)
wukindada
Welcome.... You sound like me & my wife with the AT...though I'll be going back to MT next vehicle as she has only driven it 6-7 times:rolleyes: As far as your mods go I would suggest the following.... Tranny cooler Lightweight pulley Accessport Cobb DP Maddad header/UP AEM intake SP2 catback AVO actuator Make sure you get the car Protuned it is the best money you will spend. With those mods you should have a solid 13.4-13.6 sec car. Do not forget your suspension, I'd suggest swift springs to start Good luck PM me any time you need help. I have tried many setups & know that many work & some do not Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!

underpowerd
welcome; wukindada has given the wisdom I would only add the emphasis on the tranny cooler, and also suggest that while you're at it to get a fresh BG tranny flush/additive. Enjoy the upgrade from the dub
