Siper2
I'm pretty sure the Outback's wheel had real wood... Well, if it's real wood, it's buried under about 10 layers of some kind of clear coating that feels a lot like plastic.

Siper2
My wife put two coats of wax on her '01 OB, about a week ago. We did the same for my '05 GT, but this is an Outback thread... http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae286/c2seipt/Subies/DSC_0005.jpg http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae286/c2seipt/Subies/DSC_0006.jpg http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae286/c2seipt/Subies/DSC_0003-1.jpg http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae286/c2seipt/Subies/DSC_0008.jpg http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae286/c2seipt/Subies/DSC_0011.jpg http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae286/c2seipt/Subies/DSC_0016.jpg Our work assistant... http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae286/c2seipt/Subies/DSC_0012.jpg

Siper2
Awesome Thanks! It needs a sparkplug change and trans. fluid flush. After that, I'll do brake pads/rotors myself, and I'm looking in to some new springs and struts for it. I might get some of iON Performance's springs for it, which raise the car just a little. Thinking of going with just KYB GR2 struts, they're close to OEM so that'd be perfect for our use. My wife's shopping for a new car, she's got the bug, but she also loves the OB and we don't want to neglect it.
Hops
The wife bought me some new brakes! We put them on just before heading down to Moab and Arches. http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n121/JDMChizad/DSC05022.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n121/JDMChizad/DSC05114.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n121/JDMChizad/DSC05052.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n121/JDMChizad/DSC05051.jpg Buy my cars! Hops
I'm going to buy another Outback for a daily and possibly turn this one into an off-roader... Anybody know anything about the lift kits and custom bumpers? I know Scorpion makes stuff, but is that the only company? Buy my cars!
Siper2
Allied Armament used to have Subie kits for off-roading, but their site isn't up anymore. I wonder if they're out of business?
wagonista
LMAO, i have those exact same brakes in the mail right now...
one bad bg
i was trying to turn mine into an offroader. but if youve looked on other threads ive posted on, ive had 4 grand worth of engine problems. which i could have taken that money and bought another ob but where am i gonna find a 98 limited ob 5 speed with leather and heated EVERYTHING other than in my driveway lol. but good news is its all fixed now so maybe after the snow stops falling if no more engine problems come up i might buy a 3 inch lift kit

Siper2
The wife bought me some new brakes! We put them on just before heading down to Moab and Arches. It's an extra feeling of awesomeness, when your wife buys you car parts, isn't it?
Hops
Ah yes... But - she has received plenty of parts from me! She has a GRP wagon. But she also bought me my AVO TMIC when I blew my stocky. Buy my cars!
Hops
LMAO, i have those exact same brakes in the mail right now... They came with ceramic pads, too. They've been great so far. Buy my cars!
Hops
And if you plan on doing the brakes yourself, have fun removing the rear discs! They suck. Buy my cars!
Hops
please take the sticker off I'm not a huge fan of the Rally sticker on the side, but I do think Outbacks need to be covered in stickers. Buy my cars!
