I'm pretty sure the Outback's wheel had real wood...

Well, if it's real wood, it's buried under about 10 layers of some kind of clear coating that feels a lot like plastic. :D

  • 1 year later...

Finally completed de-striping my Outback and installed my JDM tails... Got some pics with the only other modded BG in Utah I have seen.

My wife put two coats of wax on her '01 OB, about a week ago. :D We did the same for my '05 GT, but this is an Outback thread...

Awesome :)

Thanks!

It needs a sparkplug change and trans. fluid flush. After that, I'll do brake pads/rotors myself, and I'm looking in to some new springs and struts for it. I might get some of iON Performance's springs for it, which raise the car just a little. Thinking of going with just KYB GR2 struts, they're close to OEM so that'd be perfect for our use.

My wife's shopping for a new car, she's got the bug, but she also loves the OB and we don't want to neglect it.

The wife bought me some new brakes! We put them on just before heading down to Moab and Arches.

i was trying to turn mine into an offroader. but if youve looked on other threads ive posted on, ive had 4 grand worth of engine problems. which i could have taken that money and bought another ob but where am i gonna find a 98 limited ob 5 speed with leather and heated EVERYTHING other than in my driveway lol. but good news is its all fixed now so maybe after the snow stops falling if no more engine problems come up i might buy a 3 inch lift kit
