caschmidt
Picked her up for $550 with a rod knock. I tried to drive the 30 miles home but it started overheating. By the time I was able to exit I blew a HG. Then I went to buy a 2.2 for $600, t-belt and water pump already done. Then the arse didnt answer his phone until I was an hour into the drive, then told me he couldnt do it that day. I looked online and found one that had just been listed for half the price that was half the distance away, and 20k less miles on the engine. Total I spent $1,010 to get it running and driving. Not bad for 140k miles. some small dings and dents, but the paint is in great shape. Interior is also very good. Leather is in good shape the sunroofs work! http://i360.photobucket.com/albums/oo48/subaglue/project%20GT-B/IMG_3306.jpg http://i360.photobucket.com/albums/oo48/subaglue/project%20GT-B/IMG_3312.jpg http://i360.photobucket.com/albums/oo48/subaglue/project%20GT-B/IMG_1943.jpg http://i360.photobucket.com/albums/oo48/subaglue/project%20GT-B/IMG_1938.jpg http://i360.photobucket.com/albums/oo48/subaglue/project%20GT-B/IMG_1937.jpg http://i360.photobucket.com/albums/oo48/subaglue/project%20GT-B/IMG_3313.jpg

Hops
Bad ass! The dual sunroof BG is pretty rare. I wish they made those with a manual. Buy my cars!
caschmidt
Yeah the dual sunroofs is basically why I got it. I may try to put a manual in at some point, but Im just glad its on the road. Ill eventually make it all one color and want to go for the jdm look, but thats going to take me a while

Stang70Fastback
Yeah. I'm doing my best to maintain the stock look with a few little tweaks to improve it (fog lamps, different wheels - but nothing showy, and bedliner to improve on the black plastic.) I want some sort of sleeper in the long run...

Stang70Fastback
Stang what fog lights are those? They look really good with the grills on them! Thanks! They are PIAA 520 ATP Driving lights. They are bright as hell (waaaay brighter than my Silverstars in low or high beam) and they fit nicely into the stock location (though you have to drill a hole in the plastic bumper support on each side to mount them, which isn't hard at all. Here is a video comparing the brightness: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPjxqZSgEkw]98 Subaru Legacy with PIAA 520 ATP Foglights - YouTube[/ame]

Stang70Fastback
We've had it since 2000 with 50k on it... so no. It wasn't always in that shape. I've been working to "restore" it recently. I've already spent way more money than the car is technically worth, and I haven't even touched the engine or transmission yet... ...mainly because I'm considering a full WRX drivetrain swap one day when I have the money... by a professional shop, because that would be way over my head. Subtleamuzement
These OB's in this thread are sweet. Just picked up a 99' 5MT OB a month ago, $$$ will be dropped to get it running right: extra-s tranny oil, head gasket is in bad shape, 2 axles are gone and the alternator is making a funny sound but then after that the mods begin.
