Picked her up for $550 with a rod knock. I tried to drive the 30 miles home but it started overheating. By the time I was able to exit I blew a HG. Then I went to buy a 2.2 for $600, t-belt and water pump already done. Then the arse didnt answer his phone until I was an hour into the drive, then told me he couldnt do it that day. I looked online and found one that had just been listed for half the price that was half the distance away, and 20k less miles on the engine. Total I spent $1,010 to get it running and driving. Not bad for 140k miles. some small dings and dents, but the paint is in great shape. Interior is also very good. Leather is in good shape the sunroofs work!

Stang what fog lights are those? They look really good with the grills on them!

Thanks! They are PIAA 520 ATP Driving lights. They are bright as hell (waaaay brighter than my Silverstars in low or high beam) and they fit nicely into the stock location (though you have to drill a hole in the plastic bumper support on each side to mount them, which isn't hard at all. Here is a video comparing the brightness:

  • 1 month later...

We've had it since 2000 with 50k on it... so no. It wasn't always in that shape. I've been working to "restore" it recently. I've already spent way more money than the car is technically worth, and I haven't even touched the engine or transmission yet...

...mainly because I'm considering a full WRX drivetrain swap one day when I have the money... by a professional shop, because that would be way over my head.
