In Cary I would go to Turbo Time. That's where I take my LGT. They are the local Subaru specialists and can handle tuning and performance mods along with normal maintenance and repair.

I try to do most of my own work, but for anything requiring assistance I consult the guys at Turbo Time. I have them working on repairing a set of front brembos for me right now.

I joined a facebook group called triad subaru. We are always looking for new members in the NC/SC/Va area. It's mostly made up of subaru owners but there are a few other makes on there as well. Feel free to join in if you like. We go to car shows and have cookouts together. Earlier this month we even took a trip to VIR and did some laps. We also sell and trade parts, too. At the moment there are only a handful of legacies on there and I'd love to see our numbers increase to keep up with all the WRXs and STis. The link is https://www.facebook.com/groups/triadsubaru/

Dallas, NC here. I own a 98 LGT. 5MT. All stock except Spectre drop in filter. its the classic I believe its called sedona or rio red for the 98 year models. I love the car but would love to do some basic performance mods nothing major since it is my dd.

Welcome to the forum! Definitely some good resources and helpful people on here. How long have you had the car?

I have had it for about 9 months. This is my 3rd subie. Had an almost identical 98lgt with 4eat a few yrs back and it was total by my gf at the time while I was in the bed sick. Needless to say I am no longer with her. My second one was a rusted out 99 impreza sport wagon. Sold that one to my uncle and it still runs as far as I know. These cars just keep going no matter what u do to them sometimes.

Cool! My 05 LGT is the first Subaru I've owned. I really enjoy it. Like you said they're pretty reliable and it provides the right balance of performance and comfort for my needs.

First Saturday of the month at Waverly Place in Cary. Some local Subaru owners meet at Turbo Time before to caravan there together. I'm hoping to be out there. Would be great to have some legacies in the mix.

And while you are at it, you should check out Triad Subaru on Facebook. Tons of subaru owners, mostly wrx and stis though, that get together frequently. We are actually going to the tail of the dragon at the end of April.

Good call. I might have to look into that trip as well. Haven't been to the dragon in a long time and never with the Legacy.

I will see you there. What time does everyone meet at Turbo Time?

I'm now confirmed and going this month too. Usually I get to TT by 7:45. We usually roll out between 7:50 and 8.

Is there a stop planned in between there and Cars and Coffee or do you usually just try to get there early - I could be wrong, but I thought that it started at 9am?
