RX300T Posted July 31, 2007 Share Posted July 31, 2007 Hi there, I currently have a 2.0 JDM Legacy GT 5EAT. 2005 yr. I managed to find a good deal on a jdm transmission. Question is, i do not know if it is a spec B trans or just an ordinary one. anyone knows the differences other than the gearing, from the spec B and the normal GT 5EAT? the serial number on the transmission is : TG5C7CBABA-Y5. RX300T Posted August 1, 2007 Author Share Posted August 1, 2007 care to share where you are getting it and how much? i'm actually in asia. my mechanic just got a set from japan but specs still unknown as he has no time to check. I was told things that need to be changed with the gearbox is the rear diff which will include an LSD. price-wise not confirmed but should be a top-up of abt 500 including my gearbox if the one i'm getting is a spec B. RX300T Posted August 2, 2007 Author Share Posted August 2, 2007 I'm not too sure if it's even a spec B tho but if i'm not wrong, only the gearing is different. i'm changing it more for the gearing and the LSD.
