noswad
Is 65 degrees the lowest temp setting on everyones cars? Id like it to go down to at least 60 cause I like it cool. Is there a fix for this? Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac? -George Carlin
TPLGT
I live in FL and I keep it at 70 and it freezes me out...if it could go to 60 you would get hypothermia... Rehab is for quitters.
jmfspecb
If you had butt warmers, you probably wouldn't get hypothermia.
inthedeck
When you turn on the A/C, just keep the 'recirc' closed...and the fans high. I've found this works best, during hot, sunny FL days.
pillboy
Winter...windows down. It is still ugly.
mwiener2
Air conditioning doesn't work like that. 15-20 degrees below ambient is the best you'll get. My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons

The Murdocta
65 is damn cold... I even noticed 70 is way cooler than my last car (Acura CL) was at that temp. Maybe its just me... Im satisfied with 65! Will it Blend? That is the question!
Jimbizzle
my friend's TL was set at 59 over the weekend... didn't seem any cooler than 65 to me..
Legasee
the GT's A/C is pretty good overall....may take a little time to get it cool..but once it's cold, it stays pretty cold...at highway speeds, 72-73 is just right... In Taiwan now...
praedet
Yep, 65 degrees should actually be marked "Max Cool" instead of a temperature. It keeps the AC on 100% of the time (unless throttle is at 100%) and keeps the fans on max. It is the coldest you can make your car...

Setting it at 65 degrees can make it much colder than 65 degrees inside. It's essentially telling the HVAC system to make the car a meat locker.
