lejjasie
When i got the sat radio installed the idiot at Best Buy who installed it pushed the antenna wire into the front of the dashboard and possibly pushed some foam out in the front of the dash under the windshield out over the VIN # plate. Now from outside i can't see my VIN number. All i see is some black foam. Anyone suggest the easiest way to fix this. Dealer is being a b*tch and says they won't touch it because of the wire. Origtopcat
Can you use a razor and just cut out the foam around your vin ? Nemo me impune lacessit
bskey
no, it's below an accessable area. You have to loosen up the dash to remove it. The dealer shoved a foam pad between my dash and windshield to prevent a rattle and covered my vin. For me it's no big deal, I just live with it. I may choose to have them fix it eventually, but not now. life in spin cycle.....
TRS
Specialty tool for foam re-positioning: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b380/TRS60586/Misc%20Legacy/spcialtytool.jpg Probably will only find the metric version in Canada, though it should work as well as the SAE one. TRS
Looks expensive In a pinch you can improvise and use a wooden paint stir stick.
