Everybody calm down!

The new member was great to bump a thread that was specifically relating to his post.

Keep the rice comments to yourselves.

And if you call anyone a shitbag on this forum again, you won't last long here.

Okay. Well call it a fartcan if you want, however to my understanding that would imply that I had a large muffler sitting on my stock pipe running from a small engine. Similar to a civic? or any honda for that matter.

When in fact, I am running a full turboback with a cobb 3" downpipe. You can't say its a fartcan when its running from a Subaru Boxer engine on a car that runs 310whp. That doesn't make sense. "rice" or not, its pretty unique and most people think it looks good. And it is also a lighter, and more efficient alternative to a ridiculously expensive borla system.

Reviving this thread again... I've seen a couple LGT's with single exit exhaust, and I've wondered if these are just straight WRX/STi exhaust bolted up? Custom exhaust? There is a distinctly different sound coming from the single-exit "fartcan" exhaust that sounds way more like an STi than the dual-exit LGT exhaust systems (all configs). Way deeper and "pulsier".

Basically I want that and I want to know where to start. And IDGRA about the look of a single coming out a dual-exit bumper, this car isn't exactly a sexy sports car to begin with, it's a sedan. The point of buying it was driving something fun to drive (and an audio component to that fun helps), not buying the sexiest car out there.

I like revivals :)

I took a spare OEM catback I got from a forum member, cutoff the y pipe and put a single magna flow muffler and tip out the left side. I am happy because it was cheap, easy, lighter. This equates to fun at the track. Also sounds great. :)

3" turbo back here which tapers when the y splits into two....i think the y tapers to either 2.5 or 2.75 and continues to two big cans that may not have any sound packing in them....wanted something different and better sounding and hopefully a little quieter so today we cut the Y where it started to taper, welding up some custom piping to a single exit nvidia q300 (apparently a quiet and well made can) that was for a GD/older sti... now it is a true 3" turbo back (zero tapering anywhere) all the way out with a single 4" tip....my dual cans also had 4" tips but had single walled tips and most likely little to no sound deadening in them... new q300 can has a double walled tip and looks alot better quality for sure

im sure it will flow better, sound better and may not look symmetrical but I will like it, I am interested in ordering a bumper cutout cover if such a thing exists or Ill make my own some how but this wasnt top of my list of things to care about and ill get to that when i get to it

Im picking car up today and it will be interesting to see how one well made 'quiet' single will sound vs two loud more cheaply made duals . pretty excited about it. the end.

update:

my car is much quieter with my new single exit exhaust compared to my aftermarket duals... this will obviously vary depending on which components are used. I ordered an oem cover for the 2nd, now gaping bumper cutout..actually ordered two if anyone needs one and cant find it LMK

few pics of the old and new exhaust..

Yeah the single I bought is higher quality for sure. Just started driving the car again (had to replace a wheel bearing right after new exhaust went on) and I'm really loving the new sound. No more drone at all and she still has a nice rumble. Long drives will be much better now!

Here is my quiet & free flowing single exit exhaust that I built last week. 3" 304 Stainless steel, Borla 5" resonator, bored out STI Muffler. My goal was to avoid any 90* turns for better flow. While I managed to do that it did make it more difficult to make it quiet, 90* bends quiet down the exhaust a good bit.

Stock exhaust had 4psi of back pressure post cat, this setup is a little over 1psi.

when I installed my turbo on the M1009 i had a local muffler shop build me a 3" exhaust for it, but they had to run it on the outside of the frame and put a turnout infront of the rear tire... and just FYI- it sounds AWESOME!!

One more thing,

I just registered here on the board to find out what online casinos are the best for us Mac players? I've been looking for a quality platform to play online casino games, but I haven't had much luck. I have played a number of different programs from different providers that are available, however, it has always been on PC. None of the big boys in the industry, including Microgaming or Cryptologic, offer a download version of their games that can be played on the Mac. I think Cryptologic may not offer a downloadable version that I can play. I believe the only software package I can download and install on my computer is a Rival, and their games are not the best. Also, do you know if it is possible to get this feature on this online casino here - https://sites.google.com/view/zodiac-casino-login/home

Please, if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know as it would definitely help me.
