goneskiian
washburn33 - 86201AG67A There's a whole thread about the '07 HU HERE. SVXdc - Yes, it plugs into the lower right plug on the back of the HU (when looking at the back). There's only one plug that it will fit in. Plug it in there. Cheers! -Ian

dmiller5
^^ Dude.. seriously READ THE THREAD BEFORE YOU POST. This has been discussed IN THIS THREAD. I think maybe even about 3 separate times. But since I'm a nice guy.. NO. It will not work. You need a SAT input.

goneskiian
wukindada - Nope, not gonna work. I tried it when I took my '05 HU out. There's no place to plug in the kit. Sorry. FM transmitter FTW! Not the best but should work in a pinch. Or you can just put some headphones on! Just in case anybody has the question. This kit WILL NOT work with the '06 HU's as they don't have satellite radio either.
Jerboa113
uh... jazzy's aux in mod works PERFECTLY in an 05.. you dont need a crappy ridiculously low quality fm modulator.. wheres everyone been on this? http://www.jazzyengineering.com its real simple and real easy to install, you dont need any kind of technical knowledge except how NOT to break plastic clips or metal tabs.. imo if you've ever taken apart a cdrom or a vcr or anything like that, you can do this w/o even trying.. Hops
Yeah what's goin go on with that? I'm ordering an '07 head unit so I can have iPod connectivity! Buy my cars!
vadimr
I got 08 GT with XM radio and I want to keep my radio but also get this iPod adapter, if it comes with the Y cable is there a reason it wouldn't work with XM, this seems like a bus which supports a few devices. dmiller5
Just got an email that mine shipped. Not sure why subaru held it but it was only a few days.
brhays
2 BIG questions, based on varying levels of functionality in past iPod integration kits I've used: 1.) If you choose a playlist and/or set it to Random Play, does the Random setting stick when you get back in the car and turn it on again? Or do you have to pick your playlist and start over every time you start the car? 2.) Does it automatically start playing the iPod when you start the car, and shut it off when the car is turned off? Thanks for your help, this may blow the other option (Spending $400 on a Drive+Play 2) out of the water. Never start modding, kids. It's too late for me, save yourselves! Hooray for 07+ AccessPORT! sashi2
Yeah what's goin go on with that? I'm ordering an '07 head unit so I can have iPod connectivity! Do you know if one can install it on 2005 lgt with the same wires? I've heard that one also would need a $750 new armrest that includes something for Ipod connection. Hops
Not that I know of... I know goneskiian did this without the arm rest. I think he just cut out a hole for it. Check the threads, he has pics somewhere. Buy my cars!
sashi2
yup, I've found it after I posted to this thread. Are you getting a new 2007 unit or a used one? How much is it nowadays?
Hops
I'm getting one from KingofParts for about $400 new. I have been unsuccessful finding a used one. I'm going all out and getting the iPod hookup and OEM sub. It'll be around $700 bucks, but it's the same as upgrading to a nice new aftermarket head unit and it's about the only option we have... I am quite happy about being able to do this, though. Buy my cars!
sashi2
If my unit dies (I think it's about to), I'll consider getting the 2007th. It wasn't easy to make mine iPod-ready and I don't know if I want to repeat that.
integroid
After considering everything I would need to purchase, I might just go with the 7" DIN Sized Touchscreen Clairion radio I saw at Fry's. They had it on sale for $499 plus the $100 for the JDM pocket to din piece.....decisions decisions.

Hops
I did happen to come across this but I wasn't sure if it would work properly. I would rather go with an '07 HU since it's factory. http://japanparts.com/images/ImageFromDB.php?base=1&no=11151 Buy my cars!
