Most of the time I will go out of my way to take a road that has light traffic and is enjoyable. What about everyone else? What are your favorite driving roads? Opie Posted November 25, 2004 Share Posted November 25, 2004 My favorite driving roads are about 600 miles from my house! :lol: N. Georgia mountains and N. Carolina...I go at least twice a year. Around home...I hit the two lane country roads in southern Hillsborough county, quite a bit of good country roads, little traffic, interesting sites.. Jimbo Posted November 25, 2004 Share Posted November 25, 2004 The Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive in Virginia are awesome for driving, sightseeing, and hiking any time of the year. The change in elevation along with the snaking mountain roads is amazing. I was only disappointed by the fact we took the Outback instead of the Legacy. Didn't get a chance to try out the parkway when we were up there. We would have had to drive through Gatlinburg on a Saturday to get there. But man what a place to be.
