My wife liked the way it looked and I pointed out the gap and she thought it was another air vent opening. But I understand - my hubby does the same thing - asks me if I like something new he put on his car. I tell him "it's YOUR car babe, just don't junk it and you can do what you want with it"....something to that affect.
