VTSpecB went to Clarkson too, and yes, both cars are here in Middlebury, which sucks since I'm working over in NH till August. With that said I just got home (from NH) to see the GT back in the garage, which means tomorrow (later this morning) the tear down will commence further, prepping the car for body work and body modification ;)... details to come later today

Update July 11th 2007:

Alrighty, the interior is completely stripped, and just needs to be vacuumed and cleaned up (you find some nasty shit when you pull up the carpet and remove the seats. The old engine and transmission have also been taken out of the car, and the engine bay is now almost empty. With that said, here are some shots of the car...

Here you can see the kink in the front clip on the drivers side...

And the bend on the passengers side...

And now for the interior, notice that the car is originally an automatic, but since I hate automatics so damn much that will be gone soon...

That little "rust spot" has me confused as to how that got there, it almost looks like something exploded against the ceiling and the owner never cleaned it up. Oh well, nothing a little 400 grit sandpaper can't clean up

... and damn I really wish I had a moon roof, its so nice to vent the car, if only there were something to put there...

Oh, I got it, I'll just add the Primitive rally Roof Vent and Scoop!

So far the cost for this project is very minimal, thanks to luck and the fact I havent done anything major yet (just wait till the front gets fixed), but for now here is the $$ list, along with parts on the way...

1996 LGT: $0

1991 Legacy Turbo: $600

JDM Tail lights: $250 (On their way)

Primitive Rally Roof Vent and Roof Scoop: $180 (Should be here friday, however, since I leave tomorrow night and wont be home until August, pics will have to wait)

Pop-it remover tool: $10 (so many friggin pop-its, I had to stop mid way through the tear down to go buy one)

... So in short the runing total so far is $1040, however in the tear down I found $2.81 and a 10c coin from the Bahamas, so the total is $1037.19 and a Bahaman coin. Obviously though this will decrease when I sell off all the parts I now have sitting in the basement, which is a major plus since I'm trying to see how low the final dollar amount will be, although I first have some major spending to do...

Tune in tomorrow for some underbody shots when I finally get her on jackstands

Update July 12th 2007:

Well there will be no underbody shots, because it wasnt very exciting under there today, all I did today was remove the exhaust, power steering pump and lines, air conditioning pump, lines and cooler, the main fuse box, snorkus, drives side fender, body side moldings and some other minor stuff that I cant remember...

For now, she will sit as pictured above until I come back home again in August, so for now I bid you and my project adieu, since I have to get back to NH. I'll be around to answer questions and post updates to things I buy for the car, or if the car goes to the bodyshop before I get back.

I'll leave you with this quick vid though, of the Turbo Legacy on the road today...

When is the part out sale?
Enh, when I get around to it come August, unless someone absolutely needs something now, just PM me with what you are looking for

Damn, I've been away from this baby for too long. I just got back home today from NH to pick a nice package up off my porch from Japan for the car. There will be more pics later tonight, with updates, and a surprise contact for insight on modding Subies to perform on high levels...

Tune in Legacy fans, this baby is getting interesting
