Googalash
Was doing some searching which didn't seem to turn anyhting up so I am curious if anyone has put any thought/done investigation into switching out lights. What I mean is when you turn your lights on at night all the buttons on the radio and etc light up red. I'm curious if anyone has tried or found a way to replace those lights with a differant color like blue or something. Anyway I'd guess this may be easier said than done. Many things are easier said than done, this is one of them. No big deal to do, as long as you're handy with a soldering iron. You'll have to remove every red surface mount LED and replace it with a similar sized blue, green, white etc... replacement. ignore him, he'll go away. Ah well looks like I'll be busting out my soldering gun. It would have been easier to pick a DD unit with red lights or a model that has a software switch between multiple colors. And yet again, easier to change the LED's in the HU rather than all of the ones in the OEM radio and HVAC controls. ignore him, he'll go away. laz
Too many LED's. totally not worth it. Sell your aftermarket radio and get one that matches. Easier and less painful. X ---
scottmcphee
Put on colored sunglasses, maybe, those bright yellow ones, makes red things look orange?

laz
To each their own. Just telling you because I have been down this path in the past on my previous car (not subaru). It was a fun project, but desoring and sodering all the miniature LED's was a lot of work. Make sure you get the right brightness if you go through with it since on my first go around mine were too bright and I had to replace them.
