Waxiboy Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 This happened to me last night, I started the car and drove away. After about a mile, I turned on the stereo....nothing happened. I pushed all buttons and it still did not turn on! I tried the HVAC controls and nothing either Then I pushed the load button for the CD and my stereo lit up. I then pushed the volume and it turned on...the same with the HVAC. Anyone else had this issue?
Brady Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Welcome to the forum! If you occasionally read threads in the "Legacy General" forum, the "Interior/Audio" forum, and "Warranty and Issues" forum you will hear posts about occasional "gremlins" nearly identical what you describe above. A use of the "Search" feature may also yield results similar to the description you provide. Again, welcome and don't forget to donate! (Seriously, how long have you been around here?!)
Underdog Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 It's happened to me once or twice but I wasn't able to get the stereo or HVAC to turn on without restarting the car. The Crimson Dynamo
Waxiboy Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 Me = pawn3d I never heard of this issue before as I do not frequent the Interior/Audio thread. I thought my issue was unique...oh well.
VTsullyman Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Yeah it ever happened to me but it did happen to my dads 2.5XT, i had him turn the car off and try again after he started it back up. That fixed the problem and it has never happened again. 2007 DGM LGT 2003 Suzuki SV650S
Brady Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Just happened to me for the second time ever last week, actually. Happened once on my Stock Headunit, and now once in my VDC/Spec.B MP3 head unit.
VTsullyman Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Do no upset the ghosts, they will kill your radio and HVAC, ha ha. 2007 DGM LGT 2003 Suzuki SV650S
Abandonhope16 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Thats so weird that you bring this up now, this happened to me yesterday morning on my way to work. When I got to work I turned off the car and started it again and everything was fine. This has never happened to me before, sometimes I have volume issues though. These gremlins must have been making their way through Reston and got both of us .
Brady Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I fixed the volume gremlin. Install steering wheel controls and the volume ghost goes buh-bye.
