godwhomismike Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 First choice: Audi TT 3.2 (DSG) Second Choice: BMW 335i sedan (auto) Third Choice: Chevy C6 Corvette (auto) Fourth Choice: Jeep Cheorkee SRT-8 Fifth Choice: BMW Z4 Coupe (auto) That's where I am standing at the moment. I had a love for the TT for years before I even got my Legacy in '04. I like the unique styling, the engine/trans combo, AWD, and the practicality of it for an everyday car for a single person. I took an '05 Audi TT 3.2 DSG out for a 45 minute drive back in '04, and I remember loving every minute of it on various roads - had it in stop and go, side streets, on the highway, a few curvy sections - and I had a blast with it. At the time, it was out of my range in terms of price, and I got my second choice - the Legacy. coxx Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 translation = keep the LGT and buy your own pad +1 you wanna be like the super-guidos on SI Mike? Livin at home & driving a BMW? "Barack Obama, mothaf#%@a! Barack Obama! I'm the president...of hittin' the ass!" -this is not a political view it's merely a quote from a hilarious tv show.
godwhomismike Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 screw em all and get the Cayman!! I'd like some sort of cargo space for a weekend or week long trip. I'd imagine the Cayman would be comfortable and forgiving though - in it's base form.
Guest Gitster Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 It is pretty modest for its over $50k pricetag. The Cayman S is nasty, Id love one. Im sure the handling is the same on the base level. I wouldnt be scraping by if I owned one of them, Id be my fourth of fifth car
