supa_fresh911 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Heres the deal, I'm still in college and I got a pretty good job for this upcoming summer. My 5EAT LGT has less than 10000 miles on it and I already have a SPT intake. I want to upgrade my exhaust to SPT exhaust by the end of the summer, and i wanted to know when i do, am i going to need a tune to get the best performance out of my car? I was also looking into cobb's access port. I got the longest warranty possible so i don't want to do anything that would compromise my warranty.
AWDxBOOST Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 yes a tune will get you the best power out of your car you should search about the spt intake, not many fans of it here. but you want to keep warranty... anyways, you can unmarry the AP and afaik they wont be able to tell it was ever flashed. but the best way to keep warranty is to stay stock or mod with parts that keep the warranty like the spt stuff. its not the best imo, but the only choice to not void anything
supa_fresh911 Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 I know alot of people aren't fans of the SPT intake, but I think its pretty good. I like the way it sounds when the turbo spools and the blow off when you let off the gas. The only drawback i would say is the waste gate flutter. I can feel a little more torque but nothing substantial.
MiniStiGuy Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 buy an avo actuator which will get rid of that flutter because it holds boost to higher levels. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
