What HID kit would you recomend for an 05 legacy 2.5i limited?? There are soo many out there that I found I just can't seem to choose. Anything would help. I'm looking to do the install myself so I am looking for something that isn't too hard to install.

Personally, I would stay away from HID's altogether. A complete OEM retrofit will probably be fairly good, but for 1/5th the price & 1/20th the effort - you can just put in Osram 65W Rally bulbs & have 9/10ths the benefit of OEM HIDs, and beat a retrofit kit entirely.

Beware of the cheap stuff. I bought a bargain brand and I'm not too happy. I have lots of flickering and my fogs only work in the rain :( Customer service also lacks something to be desired. I'd reccoment going to a local shop. If it breaks at least they'll fix it.

I'm thinking of going to Apexcone. They seem to be pretty good and that make them in the H7 bulb so I wouldn't have to do any reto fitting of the lamp.

I was going to do the full projector retrofit but after considering the effort involved and the ease of installing a kit I went with the Apexcone 50watt racing setup in 6000k. It was just what I wanted, considerably more light on the road, headlights stand out but in a good way because of their blue hue, and they were a breeze to install, the hardest part was finding a place to mount the ballasts.

All in all, I would do this again and recommend it to anyone that wants something cheap and plug and play. It may not be as bright as my BMWs xenons but I feel like I got a great setup for the price.

Retro FTW..... I just did mine this past weekend and its 1,000 times better output then the stock projector's will ever have. I had a kit before and it was sufficently better then stock but an actual OEM setup is 1,000 times better.

Watch out for my thread this weekend on the retro with pics.

I installed the mccullough 4600K kit upon recommendation from a fellow legacy owner with the same kit, who has had it in his car for a while and has worked great. since mine have only been in recently, i'lll have to wait several months to give a long term report.
