This week I am going to install the new audio system on my 2.5i outback system. I am pulling new speaker wires and need to know if it's ok to run speaker wire for the drivers side speakers alongside the power wire.

Going into the car is:

clean sweep

jl 500/5 amp

ED 6500 components

CDT up stage kit & tweeters

Memphis audio 6.5 co-ax

Image Dynamics IDMax 10in DVC sub

100 sq. ft of Raam audio sound damping

1 Farad Cap

Thanks In advance

speaker wire and power wire, should be ok, but try to keep them somewhat seperated, and if you need to cross them, make its at least a 45 degree angle. The one thing you need to avoid like the plague is crossing or running the RCA's close together.

don't cross the rca's with themselves? even on the opposite side of the car as the power?

I am going to do power on driver side, and rca on pass.

Thanks for the help.. any other tips?

I will post pics when done

My powere wire runs down the left side of center console, speaker wires to cleansweep run down right side of center console. speaker wires to speakers run down their specific side of the vehicle along the door sills.....

I always try to run my pre-amp source on a separate side of the car as the power. I don't think the amplified cables are as big a deal.

Yup. Unless you have a good set of RCAs with a ground.
