Anyone? took the bumper off today, went to put it back on and the 2 screws up by the headlights won't go back in.. I know this sounds simple, but I can't get the f'n things back in. I can geta 1/4 turn or so out of them and they stop. feel like it's cross threaded or something. came out pretty easy, and the screws don't appear stripped. ideas??

try putting them in without the bumper in place. also, try turning them left before right to be sure they are threading properly

don't force it in. Just some zipties for now. Might need to get some thread taps and clean up the part that teh bolt goes in. I've got a set of dies....maybe I'll get a set of taps and you can borrow...I have a Sears gift card leftover from Xmas

only one of those holes is threaded, the other takes a pop-it......one bolt on the top of the radiator support, one bolt in front of the radiator support where the grille would sit. have you loosened the headlight bracket?

when i did my headlights, i took the bolts out of the lower headlight bracket to get the light out and whn i put it back together, the bracket was tilted up slightly which made it impossible to thread the bolts back in----the hole didn't line up with the thread straight.......

hmmm.....no. I've got 2 phillips head screws that I've been screwing and unswrewing everytime I take the bumper off.

i've got an '06, maybe different; however, the hole you're puttin the bolt thru may not be srtaight on, and the tap-n-die thread chaser is another good bet, so either way.......

best of luck.......

must have installed a Perrin product! ;) a FMIC perhaps?

sorry for your troubles, dude. it just hits close to home.

 just a high flow air filter!!

Hit a huge slab of ice that came off a tractor trailer in the lane next to me, but I highly doubt it bent anything. I see no physical evidence other than a broken STI lip
