robust Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 but will be shipping to and registering in CA. anyone have experience with what is involved? i've searched and it seems like dependable auto shipping is a good shipping company. but in terms of legality, taxation, etc. thanks
GraysonSubaru Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 you are taxed on where you register the car in, not where you buy it. i had a guy come from CA around thanksgiving from nevada city, CA and drove it back. I have 7 or 8 out of state subaru buyers each month. it isnt a big deal on a dealers end usually. DAS (dependable auto shippers) is a good company. we have used them several times. most recently to WI and AZ. cheapest way with them is terminal to terminal if available. shipping door to door gets more expensive.
robust Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 does the story change for a used car?
GraysonSubaru Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 does the story change for a used car? should not change on any vehicle, new or used, that has to be registered with a DMV.
