godwhomismike
If yes what was it? I'm asking because a few people I know just got new cars, and everyone of them got things like a blanket, a hat, a bag, a fruitbasket and blanket, and a bunch of other things. They all got different brands: Ford, Mercury, Lexus, Chysler and a couple of other brands. I got nothing except 33 days of aggravation and a lot of lies at the dealership I got my car. - Mike
John M
Absolutely nothing for me! You'd think we'd get some kind of Subaru nick-nack after unloading $30k...
fbi012
Nothing here and I didnt like it, when I was looking for a car I went into a honda dealership and they gave me a free pen and a calender, without even buying. and it doesnt have to be something expensive, whatever would show you that they care. wunderkind
Yuu guys lost out. A few owners in Canada received some Petter Solberg commemorative stuff when he won the 2003 WRC. Shift knobs, Plaque etc...
Dustin
Why are you you guys wining? Those other dealerships have over priced crap cars. The only way they can get people to buy them is to hand out cheap gifts to make you think they care. THEY DONT. Every car dealer out there, good or bad, is out to make money. All you subaru owners got a good deal for what these cars can do.
Guest *Jedimaster*
True. But it's the little things that make the difference. I'd have liked to have gotten something.
gt_ltd
hmmmm... I got a $25 VISA card which can buy a cheap blanket, hat, bag, or fruitbasket and blanket, I also got a 3 yrs maintenance coupon book, and a free oil change. Some people who traded in a not-too-old WRX also got Subaru bucks. honestly, I have enough junks in my place, so I'd rather pay less on a new car than pay more and get lots of "free" craps, errrrrr I mean "gifts." there ain't no such thing as free lunch. This Space For Rent

c_hunter
well, I got the car for invoice when they were still scarce, so that is Ok with me. Last thing I need is more crap laying around. Got the $25 gift card from Subaru (bought a $27 tank of gas and haven't been billed for the $2 yet) and the free maintenance coupons. SO overall I am pretty happy with the purchase. docsmile71
When I bought my Mercedes, I got a free pen, MB hat, and a MB keychain. I also paid $2000 over invoice for the car. The markups on luxo cars is a lot higher...on my car, it was $4000 so I met the dealer halfway. On my outback, there is a much smaller markup and Planet Subaru in MA treated me just as well as the MB dealer did. No high pressure sales. I also got the car for only a few hundred above invoice. The fact that my dealership didn't have to use the high pressure sales tactics of most Honda, Nissan, and Toyota dealers was enough of a gift. Buying this car took the least time of all my car purchases...and most of the time was test driving cars that I wanted to try out.

S4
I got a red carnation. I'm not really the flower type, but I thought it'd be nice to give to my wife. Too bad it didn't stay on the seat too long and kinda flew all over the car before she got it. :)

jmcgliss
Nothing from the dealer except a deal at invoice and full tank of gas. We did get a $25 Subaru/Visa gift card, and the dealer signed a mail-in certfiicate for a $250 Eddie Bauer/Subaru gift card for eligible buyers between Oct and Nov 2004. Now Dodge still owes us a $75 gift card from the Magnum Hemi test drive IN AUGUST. DSattler
My dealer throws a BBQ for new owners every couple of months, with food, door prizes, and time with the Subaru techs to ask questions. I got a good meal, an STi pen and some helpful info.
mightyS
Well no gift, but I got it got $338 under invoice. It was marked Labor Day special with a set price. Well I was there a month after Labor day and it was still there. I guess people were passing it over for the bigger boring Tarus at this Ford/Subaru dealership.
