waverunner Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 My friend and i were trying out some new g-tech meter he has and he was wanting me to do a couple of runs so i did, my best 0-60 was 4.6 seconds and my 1/8th was 8.5, i dont do this alot but these are pretty good times, he used to have an 05 sti and he said they were good. i am not bragging by any means it just kind of surprised me that the auto can do that good and yes i do have a tranny cooler and i kept all 3 runs at no more than 2800rpms off the line.
waverunner Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 cobb/dp, perrin/ up, perrin tmic, aem cai, avo boost actuator, custom 3 inch magnaflow exhaust, hayden tranny cooler and stage 2 e-tune from tdc, thinking about a header next but will probaly go with a turbo upgrade sometime this year
tytek Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 nice results... now send me that damn g-tech, so that i could test my car too!
waverunner Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 I wish it was mine too. it certainly is a handy thing to have around. i am getting ready to do some datalogging and maybe have a pro-tune instead of the e-tune i am running now, but i guess it is'nt all bad.
SWP-LegacyGT Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 did you pull a 11.5 1/4? But seriously, not bad.
VTGT Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 cool How was the hayden tranny cooler install?
one69chev Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 all of these speed/time trials took place on a sanctioned racetrack of course:icon_wink nice times btw...........
waverunner Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 tranny cooler took about 2 hours to install, probaly would have been less if we had taken the whole bottom skid plate off but you live and learn. no 1/4 mile for me i was just playing around ,i dont have any plans to go to the track or nothing like that, and of course it was done legally.
wukindada Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 What model G-tech was it? Where was it mounted? Nice weather for testing;) Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!
waverunner Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 I will find out what model it was and let you know,i dont think the torque numbers and hp numbers are all that correct but the timer tell you to launch when ready ,as soon as you start to move it starts, very favorable weather around here for times (cold as crap last 4 weeks), we mounted it to the windshield with the mounting cup, pretty sturdy once you get it to hold in place, i hope you are happy with the filters.
wukindada Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 I am....thanks:) Next time mount the timer low on the dash, say around the gear selector makes for the most accurate times;) Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!
waverunner Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 Next time will try that out like i said i dont normally do that ,probaly the 4th or 5th time i have ever done a hard launch like that, it does feel kinda cool when your face freezes in place and your stomach does flips.
