???Alpine Speaker Fitment???

SPR-17S (6 1/2" component 2-way speaker) FRONT

SPR-17C (6 1/2" coaxial 2-way speaker) REAR

 

Setup #2:

 

SPR-17S (6 1/2" component 2-way speaker) FRONT & REAR

 

Setup #3:

 

SPX-177R (6 1/2" component 2-way speaker) FRONT & REAR

 

If anyone has any of these can you please comment on them too?

I can't comment on the exact models you listed. However I just had (4) Alpine Type-R SPR-17LP speakers installed in front and rear with an Alpine MRV-F345 amp. They sound awesome! The R series will take and need a lot of power.

I had the X installed in my front doors with 1 inch (I think it was in inch:confused: maybe 1/2 or 3/4) spacers and they just fit.

 

I had problems with two of the 6.5 drivers and eventually gave up on them. Surprisingly I was able to use their fancy adjustable crossovers with my Focal seperates.

 

So nice X-over, not so great a speaker.

Polyglass 165 V Slim (component)

Polyglass 165 CV1 (coaxial)

 

running off of Alpines

 

MRV-F345

 

Focals sounds sooo clean and clear if I put the volume level up to 50%. They cannot be played loud and hard though...they will fart like crazy!!!

 

LittleBlueGT- What amp are you using?

 

Thehikingdude- I am going to check on the depth of your speakers and see if the type-x will fit!

I can crank my focals w/ no farting, it is my Alpines that were farting! I cannot remember what Focals I have though, they make a few lines.

 

I am using the same alpine amp as you for my seperates.
