If you want to see more pics of my car and the parts I have installed or done work on the car, goto: http://www.speedoptions.com/profiles/driverview.php?id=40461 and http://www.salazar-racing.com/show_profile.cfm?user_id=23 Enjoy! rear control arm clearance of less than .25" front coilover spring perch clearance of less than .375" another shot of the car lowered to ensure clearance rear fender clearance from my drop.. also, they dont rub after my 70 miles of driving on them already. this overall tire diameter is pushing it as it is.. it's very close to rubbing the fender liner when making a turn at full lock.. so I suggest not to go any taller or wider without proper offset and tire diameter. oops, rubbed a little bit from lowering the car too much using 225/40/18 tires.. trust me, do you not want to lower anymore than what I have done to my car unless you want to weld your shocks solid.

next is a set of specification shots (or 'proof' pics as I call it) the new low profile center cap, with McGard SplineDrive Black Chrome Lug Nuts the sticker that is on the rim hoop. tire size I checked my pressures, and I am running 42 psi front, 38 psi rear. rear brake clearance for big brake kits: plenty of room front brake clearance for big brake kits: plenty of room to me! Camber is adjusted to -1 degree front, stock spec (about -0.25) rear. Toe is 1/16" toe out.

finally, the final result of a lowered GT on Zeal Coilovers and a set of 18"x8" +51 offset silver GT7-H rims with Toyo T1-S 255/35/18 performance tires. yea, yea, I dont have Falken tires. I run Falkens for autocrossing :p tires are still tucked under the fenders! That means you can use an offset less than +51mm (say down to +44mm) without having to worry about fender rubbing. yummy, a drop lip! one of the new and latest in rim design fads.

Axis, thanks for the deletion post! Hope you like the pics! Kanos, yea, 245/35/18 would be pretty ideal for track use as well. See you at the meet! Oh yea, I'll bring the STi Springs and Stock Shocks with me in case you want to see them in person. Hope you like the silver. I chose silver because of mainly three reasons: 1) The gold rim had a polish silver lip, not a full gold paint. 2) My decals are silverish and reflective, it will keep the car looking of the same color 3) When the decals are OFF the car, the black paint, lowered, tinted and big looking silver rims with big tires still look classy and clean! No problem, Keefe! Excellent choice in the color. I voted for gold but silver looks REALLY good on your car! I'm glad that we can use +51 offset without rubbing the fender or have the wheels sticking out beyond normal. I do love the pictures. :D I can't wait till you post some daytime pictures.
No problem, Keefe! Excellent choice in the color. I say to be safe, you can even find a 18"x8" with a +44mm offset. For 8" wide, anything from +44 to +51 is good fitment. Just use a 225/40/18 or 245/35/18 tire.
I do love the pictures. :D I can't wait till you post some daytime pictures.
I plan to take it down to the www.nasioc.com / www.fastwrx.com meet in Sterling Virginia this Saturday.. don't worry, SOMEONE is bound to take some daytime pics of my car. Looks awesome! I really wanted more rubber than the 225/35/19's I have, but wasn't sure about clearing the fenders. Hindsight being 20/20 I could at least have gone with a 225 that is on the wider side as opposed to the Falken ST-115's which are about as narrow as they come. Oh well. Gotta say that for all round performance and looks you have the best setup Xenonk. Nice!
xenonk, do you think you could get some 60-0 and 70-0 times with the new rubber? Thanks.
Not with my current brake pads.. I dont think it would be that long of a time..it's the ABS that will kick in WAY before I can get the car to stop like that. I would say it's no different than stock, if anything, it probably shorten the stopping distance very slightly (maybe 6 to 10 feet?). Keefe
