Btw; does anyone know where the 2nd Banjo bolt is located? I can't seem to find it to replace it. I found the one that is by the turbo but can't seem to find the other one.

thanks

The driver side Banjo filter bolt is right behind the top cam pulley cover. Pics. in post below.

Nope, unless you have a PW TMIC or a FMIC. This will not fit LGT stock TMIC. Plus you'll need new tune at a min. to work right on the car.

Sorry for being a NOOB here but what is a "PW TMIC or a FMIC" regarding to? I think TMIC is some kind of inter-cooler.

Got my turbo and DP in today. Started it up and everything sounded pretty damn good. Small coolant leak which I think is sorted.

One issue now is there's a "rattling", for lack of better words, at around 2600-3100 rpm. I think it's only in vacuum (not in boost MAYBE)

Anyway it sounds like my V70 turbo wagon sounded when decided to sell it. Could it be cams? Or ya think the turbo? Hmm.

I also wonder if it could be an oil pressure thing - maybe a result of those two "oil solenoids" that go in these cars..?

Thanks. And thanks for all the help in getting my turbo done!

PM return, What did you decide to do, replace hot side or return.

Mike

Oh - I didn't see this post.

I decided to keep the turbo and swap the old hot side housing (turbine housing) over to the new turbo.

Put the exhaust/DP back in got the turbo in there and started all the DP bolts and some other stuff (mainly the flimsy rubber hose that connects to the Compressor wheel flange..); then realized I couldn't get at that one UP stud to put the nut on, lol.

So, I had to undo the DP bolts and the exhaust hanger below the DP, pull back DP and get that UP bolt on :)

Yadda yadda, she started up first crank. Had a small coolant leak it seemed and it was the hard lines at the turbo; I gave them another...1/8-1/4 turn and it was solved.

The turbo guy is supposed to refund me $100.00 for the wac turbo

Might post some pics tomorrow. I spent a good 7 hrs today cleaning, detailing, waxing etc. and I didn't even get to the leather. Then work for 7 hrs.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

Thanks for the write-up. The pictures and descriptions are pretty useful. I reviewed this before attempting to replacing my 16G with another turbo. Unfortunately, I snapped off the third turbo-up bolt that sits underneath the compressor, soooo I ended up reinstalling everything (minus one bolt) so I could decide what to do
