ToddMcF2002
Sorry, missing link! http://www.cbwheels.com/zoro.htm Where else can you get Advan RS knockoffs???
axis008
In my opinion, for that price you might as well get real wheels like Work or a used Volk/Advan set. Hm.. those do come with tires, though. But still.. -ben
ToddMcF2002
An Advan package would run at least 1K more. IONs, money toward Bilsteins etc.
CreoSTi
I'd get a multi-spoke Rota like the Tarmac 3s over the Nakayamas. http://www.subydude.com/images/prod/products/Wheels/rota/tarmac3/400/400/tarmac3_hypersliver.jpg Hubcentric and wider (18x8") for ~$750 (without tires). -Mike-
ToddMcF2002
I can't believe you took the Advans off your car. Those were amazing!
CreoSTi
I can't believe you took the Advans off your car. Those were amazing! The GC-05F hide brake dust better, are easier to clean, and the T1-R are better in the rain. I'll swap the Advans back on when I can make it out to the track or spring - whichever comes first. -Mike-

It used to take almost 45 minutes to get all the brake dust! http://www.theracesite.com/pics/news/wayne49/050712td2.jpg
whitetiger
those rims arent wide enough. you need a 8" wide rim or more to run nice a wide 245 tires. how heavy are they? how are they made? IMHO youd be better off with a OZ ultralaggera 18x8 for $1300 on tirerack.com
ToddMcF2002
those rims arent wide enough. you need a 8" wide rim or more to run nice a wide 245 tires. That's a big downside - true. I was wondering though if an 8" on 245's would rub if I used h-tech's or IONs?

The Advans are probably just as difficult to clean due to the number of spokes and the hard angles where the spokes meet the lip. Not to mention that they also have this extra crevice at the lip of the wheel (that goes all the way around), which also needs to be cleaned out. These were a PITA to clean too, at least when they were silver... http://www.mcnproductions.com/sti/exterior/sti23.jpg -Mike-
ToddMcF2002
Alright lets try this again! How about G-Games 77s 18" 8.5? Here is the offset info - 55??? I'm a little confused by the chart, can anyone comment? http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/cgi2/english/sizeGuide.cgi?modelName=77S http://www.speednstylez.com/images/G%20GAMES%20SIDEWINDER%20copy.gif
dr. pepper
18x8.5 is a little bit wide. 8 inches is probly the widest you would want to run without extreme fender rolling. I am looking into some Rota Tarmac 3's in 18x8, i've heard great things about them, and are relatively cheap and light for an 18x8 wheel.

So looking at the chart, for 18s, you can get 18x7.5" in +42 and +48, or 18x8.5" in 5x100bp, with +48 offset being the ideal choice for your Subaru. Out of all the wheels you've shown, this is my fav choice if you are looking to purchase on a budget, since it is from Rays Engineering. -ben
ToddMcF2002
Looks like the tarmac 2 is available in silver? Called a GR-A on the Rota site... EDIT: Subydude.com has them listed right on the site. Sorry! EDIT AGAIN!: I'm getting inconsistent answers. Are these 8"'s or 7.5"s??? CreoSTi
The Tarmac 2 should only be available in either 17x7.5" or 18x7.5". The Tarmac 3 is available in 18x7.5" or 18x8". -Mike-
