NSFW
Are there any wheels for the LGT that have "real" lip to them? I mean, as opposed to having spokes that curve inward near the rim to make it look like the lip is bigger than it really is? Seems to me that going up from a 7" to an 8" should allow at least a half-inch of real lip if the spokes are perfectly flat, but haven't seen any wheels that are shaped that way. Any links/makes/models/pix would be appreciated. Thanks!
LowFast
Axis makes a Maxis lip wheel, probably the most lip I have seen for a LGT fitment. One board member has them, different offsets front and back to give a deeper lip (much like a rwd car) on the rear rims. Sorry no pics though, try the Axis Wheels Website. captainmorgan
Just mount the wheels on backwards and you get the same effect. I think you're talking about "deep dish" style wheels, and thye jsut dont seem popular on Jap imports. BMW (5 series?) is the only one that I see them run on normally, aside from the duce dubs on ghetto cruisers that is.

No, not really; it's just the nature of positive offset, which is required for AWD/FWD cars due to the component placement inside the wheelwell. If you want deep dish lip, get a RWD car (or a pizza ).
Xenonk
you just have to buy the correct offset wheel, that's all.. if you want, you can find a 9" wide wheel and do some experiementing.. or just order a set of custom rims and you're good to go.. FISKE, HRE, IForged, Kodiak, CCWs, anyone of those companies could definitely build you the rim that you want. Keefe
relhok
I like the Work Termist TM1. It's available in several widths and offsets. A 8 or 9 inch width with a 45 offset should have a nice lip. I've been considering 7.5 wide with a 50 offset in front and 45 in back to get the look Lowfast mentioned. http://www.nyxracing.com/work-termist-reloaded-wheel-18x75-5x100-p-11821.html http://www.nyxracing.com/work-termist-reloaded-wheel-18x80-5x100-p-11824.html http://www.nyxracing.com/work-termist-reloaded-wheel-18x90-5x100-p-11828.html

The lip on yours won't be as exagerrated.

So many people missed the point that I guess I did a poor job of asking this question, though I'm not sure how I could have phrased it better. Thanks to the people who suggested Axis and AME though. They make some wheels that are shaped pretty similar to what I had in mind. I just wish they were available without the polished lips... That's probably solvable (read: paintable) but it's starting to look like I'd have to spend a lot more than I hoped in order to get the look I want. IwannaSportSedan
Those work wheels have the greatest range of sizing that I have seen... and they aren't as expensive as the BBS RGR... perhaps not as well made... Certainly not as expensive as the BBS RS-GT, which is their multi-piece. It would be interesting to see what could be done with a staggered offset on the Legacy, with the same actual rim width and tire size front and rear. Xenonk
Termist are one-piece cast I think until you get past the 8" wide. Go bling, get some fully custom wheels, then you can have some really deep dish rims Keefe
NSFW
I only want deep dish pizza. A half-inch of lip would be plenty, it's the curvy spokes that I want to get away from.
Infamous1
I've been considering 7.5 wide with a 50 offset in front and 45 in back to get the look . Isn't this backwards, isn't a 50 offset on a 7.5" wheel deeper than a 45 offset?

Being a positive offset wheel, the hub needs to be close to the outer face of the wheel as opposed to towards the inside, so you'll have a hard time finding a perfectly flat spoke surface with a lip on this application. S0CalGT
NSFW, A search for "AME Shallen" on this site will give you an idea of how one style of the AME's (Shallen CX) will look on your car. I don't remember the offsets off the top of my head, but they were 18x8. I ended up buying the rims off of him, but I don't have any pictures yet to share. I hope this helps in your quest for rims... Being a positive offset wheel, the hub needs to be close to the outer face of the wheel as opposed to towards the inside, so you'll have a hard time finding a perfectly flat spoke surface with a lip on this application. I'm familiar with the offset situation. But like I said: going up from a 7" to an 8" should allow at least a half-inch of real lip if the spokes are perfectly flat And that's all I'm looking for. There's no reason it can't be done. Of course I'm having a hard time finding wheels that are actually shaped that way, otherwise I wouldn't be asking around. NSFW
For Relhok... here's the pictures S0CalGT is talking about: 18x8 +38 in the rear (76mm of lip) and 18x8 +48 in the front (66mm of lip). Offset was picked to maximize the amount of lip without modifying fenders. http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22525&highlight=ame+shallen It's not what I'm looking for (I just want 17s with flat spokes), but I gotta say, its pretty damn cool. Kudos to Oister for figuring out that setup.
relhok
I've seen those. More lip in back is proven to work. I don't really like spokes curved back that much either. I want to see the Work Termists in either: 18x7.5 50Front 45Rear or 18x8 45Front 38Rear I would have them to show everyone if I wasn't perpetually broke. ToddMcF2002
I've been wondering if these would fit. The Axis Decade (aka G-Games 77s ripoff with a lip) is 18x8 with a 35 offset. The Axis Matrix (aka Rota Torque ripoff with a lip) is 18x8 with a 40 offset http://www.maxspeed-motorsport.com/catalog/images/axis%20decade%2033.jpg http://www.maxspeed-motorsport.com/catalog/images/axis_matrix%20cc.jpg
