geddyup
After driving my vulva for a few weeks I must say the car looks, feels, drives so much better then my 05 gt. I was checking on the resale values and there is about a 6000 difference. any opinions from the crowd???

geddyup
The leggy was a good everyday beater but just not enough overall. I bet that audi gives you the euro feel. I guess for the money and its car class the leggy is good product. Can you ship me a few bottles of shine please?

direavenger
Doesn't the 2004 S40R cost over $10k more than an '05 GT wagon? Why are these two being compared? The Dude - Two inches and counting...
geddyup
well I guess the volvo would qualify for an everyday beater. I really miss the sheer power of the lgt. I kept that car well balanced. I guess if you are stage 2 with stock wheels, suspention, brakes, and re 92s the car is very unstable. I had a nice custom tuned car with the right hardware so I really got to see what the gt had to offer without all the effort of bigger turbos and fuel systems and the front mount. All in all the impressive v70r stock to the gt stock is a better value
PhilT
All in all the impressive v70r stock to the gt stock is a better value In your opinion only, no one elses. Move along please, no loitering. Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon
CasopoliS
you need to praise the subby a bit over on the Volvo forums!!! I was just browsing the v70r forums and found like 2 threads bashing Subarus!!! To each his own though.... if the v70R is what you like... then by all means get it. Just don't bash other cars because they don't happen to be the one you like!!! There was a guy over there that said Subarus were just toasters. He said you put the bread on the slot in the hood. ooook buddy If my car is a toaster the Volvos are the bread boxes that store my bread prior to toasting geddyup, what Volvo forums are you on? (and why do you choose to stay here rather than browse those boards)? Just curious.
geddyup
I agree philt I should have bought an 05 white wagon with a 5 speed instead of a 05 black sedan. You have the top secret street racer version. I think the v70r 6 speed can have a few mods done on the engine and ecu and your ready to go. The leggy requires lots of extra upgrades to match the power. Wouldn't you agree??????????????????????????????????????????????????? I mean the thing comes with brembos and a sweet suspention stock and a 6 speed
geddyup
the leggy base gt ltd at 26500 new is an ok value An 06 with 25k for 21k is getting better The V70R might run 25-27k for a low milage 04 and even less for a 6 speed

wukindada
Wanna play.....you gotta pay;) That V70R with those mods runs pretty consistant 13.1-13.2 @ 105-106 You guys think that is expensive......that is right on par price wise with item's I purchased for the S4:eek: Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!! MDork
volvos are for snobby granolas or people with infants who rationalize the safety (even though they're not the safest cars anymore). if you need to pay more to feel better...thats cool. id rather have the suby. geddyup
at the vulva site they have the weight at a hair under 3700 The amazing thing about the car is the 60-140mph speed Feels tight and smooth at the same time. I just ordered thet kit you mentioned and am looking forward to the extra power. I still miss the 0-45 on the leggy. whiplash is gone though. wukindada
You will really enjoy that setup!! As you mentioned it's a totally different power delivery. Feels like a 727 on takeoff, just a constant strong pull very little lag:) Curb wt with all the options & a half tank of gas **no driver** was a hair under 4,000lb. The S60R comes in @ just under 3700 I've seen a vid of a S60R with pretty much that same setup turning 12.8-12.9 @ 108mph If SOA continues along it's current path with the wagon I'll give one a look again towards the end of 08. twisted
I bet that audi gives you the euro feel. Euro Feel - must be that new synonym for brand snobbery which is often accompanied by electrical gremlins and subsequent overpriced repair bills at the dealers
