AKSubie
going from old school memory. "L7" is what the JDM Legacy Badge looked like. instead of the Subaru stars they had an "L" with and upside down "L" or as it looks a "7" hence the "L7" Its been a loooooong time and dont recall the meaning of the emblem in and of itself though but believe it signified the "Legacy" model much like the "I" badge signified the Impreza model. Montana
Plus, L7 is the hand sign for "square" and the flat-opposed-four cylinder engine is often referred to as square, so L7 got adopted by Subie owners. The stars are The Pleiades, the Seven Sisters constellation (one star isn't visible to the naked eye so there are only six on the logo) and that's from Fuji Heavy Industries.
