SUBYFEEN
i recently purchased a used lgt limited 5mt with 10000 miles on it and i love it, awesome car. it now has 17500 miles and when im braking the headlights dim out slightly and breifly on occasion. ive also noticed when i get out of the car and grab the door to shut it, i,ll get a little shock. the only thing done to the car is a c.a.i. it seems to me i have a loose wire somewhere. anyone else experienced this. thanks alot subyfeen
Migraine
I had a simular problem on my 05 OBXT. I would also get a quick flash of an error message on the trip odometer of "ILL.5" The fix is an Illumination Control Switch.
JuxtaGT
Hmm, I find it unlikely a faulty dimmer switch is pulling enough current to dim the head lights. I'm guesing a missing grounding strap somewhere. Has any work been done on the car?
SUBYFEEN
yes i have had the turbo and ecm replaced due to bearing failure and they also fixed my cooling fan relay while they had it but i had the car back about two weeks and the cruise control relay went and then i took it back for them to fix that and its been about a month now and the car has never run better and the headlight problem is much less noticable but i still get shocked when getting out.
