Ken S
Don't wait -- wax it as soon as you can. The paint on your new LGT (congrats, BTW) is fully cured and ready for wax. If you think the dealer did a good job, then you probably can wait about 3 months until a new wax job. But YMMV depending on your local conditions. Natural waxes (ie. carnauba) typically don't last beyond 6 months. Synthetic waxes (ie. acrylic) can last up to 6 months. If it were me, I would completely wash down the car with a strong detegent like Dawn, clay and then apply the wax/sealant of my choice. kanoswrx
Yeah, you can do it right away, not only was it cured at the factory, its probably been about a month since it left the factory, or even longer if you got it off the lot.
DAFTEK
I waxed mine the week i got it, i only use Meguiar's, 3M or Mothers. I tend to wax one a month and use only the softest cotton cloths.
Cutback99
The day I purchased mine here in MA, they rolled it off the floor and into the service area. While I was transferring my shite from the GTi to the new GT a guy walked over to me. He was the fellow that was in charge of prepping cars for the showroom floor. He liked the car a lot and gave me a bottle of his secret shine potion. It was some soft/melted mothers wax and kerosene in a squirt bottle..... kerosene? I am hesitant even though this came from the dealer.
