Removing blood stains

Recommended Posts

I have a tough problem. My wife and I didn't get to the hospital fast enough and our son was born in the back seat of our Legacy with cloth seats. I had the interior detailed but it still has an odor and some stains. What is the best way to clean the seats.

Don't know if this is an option you want to explore, but you could check with your insurace to see if replacing the rear seat or using a Trauma & Crime Scene cleaning service would be covered under your comprehensive coverage as I wouldn't think this would be considered normal wear and tear.

I have 3 kids, so I know what's involved in childbirth. There's no way that I would be able to remove that quantity of bodily fluids out of cloth seats.

+1 on what TRS said. Call the insurance company. I am assuming that you have full insrance including comprehensive. My guess is completely new seat bottom and possibly new seat back plus new carpeting...

Just replace that sh!t man...no offense but I wouldn't want to sit back there. Otherwise try that Oxyclean stuff or Febreeze for autos or pets (stronger formula I think)

Or you can try use muriatic acid...that's what mass murderes use on Cold Case Files, but it's usually used on concrete so it might uh damage the fabric.

+1 on the congrats

Who are you kidding, don't lie... we all know you off'ed someone and threw them in the backseat. Next time use the trunk!!! j/k

Oh and congrats on a sucessful "birth", that must have been crazy... I would be scared to do it.

OH and LOL to the detailer!!!! What was going through his mind! I would have hidden a fake gun or a thumb somewhere haha.
