Beanboy
Getting tired of living on hill, both street and driveway. Anybody live within a couple hours drive of Boston with jack stands that actually fit (haven't hockey pucked mine yet) and the tools needed to have fun with checking out/replacing UP/DP gaskets? *BONUS* If you've successfully make your car leak-free after doing an UP/DP install, I'll bring the import versus domestic beer of your choice! -B -B http://www.standardshift.com
legacy_y_tu
Beanboy, I've got the tools, jackstands and a flat driveway if you want to borrow them. I'm in Warwick RI though, and I'm also in the midst of a couple of house projects so I'm not sure how much time I can offer. Let me know if you're interested; 20K miles later and still leak free *knocks on wood*. Brian
Beanboy
Thanks for the offer... I'm going to try one ghetto fix today if I can get that one stuck bolt off the manifold heat shield and see if that works, if not I'll let yeah know. -B -B http://www.standardshift.com
Garandman
If you like, I have a set of metal ramps you can borrow. You drive the car up on them. I live in SOBO. Who Dares Wins スバル
NHLEG
I'm in Exeter, NH. 1 hour North of Boston. Driveway, garage, 2 ton floor jack, low profile ramps, 4 jack stands, electric impact wrench and a friend 5 min down the road who is a car nut that has every possible tool I might not (his "play" cars are a '99 2.5RS coupe, a mid 80's 944 and a '96 911 cabrio). Let me know.
Beanboy
Thanks for all the offers guys... I think folks don't consider how important an active community of fellow owners is when looking for a car that they are going to mod. Also, never live in a house on a hill if you want to work on cars, grrr. The gasket maker is holding, doing to see how it does into the mountains this weekend. Thinking about replacing my rattling resonator as well, looking into getting a used one. With all that said, figure a month from now I'll know if the gasket maker is happy, have a resonator solution, and gaskets...and if I chicken out and go somewhere, hehe. NHLEG, thanks for the offer... Perhaps we could go shooting while I wait for the gasket maker to dry, hehe. Been six months since I've shot a .45... -B http://www.standardshift.com
