robsontuning
I just obtained a set of Sti tires that were take offs. Wanting to know if I should make them my daily drivers or make my Kumho MX my daily drivers.
KartRacerBoy
If I recall, those RE070s have MONSTER shoulder blocks. Having driven neither, I would think the Bridgestones tread design, all else equal, would give you better feel and feedback for autocross. I have no idea if all else is equal, however. There you go. Ask for my uninformed opinion, and you got it! Free.

Th3Franz
I just finished a set of RE-070 used for autocross and daily driving during the warm months. They did pretty well, but I'll be going for a wider tire next. It will be interesting to see how the new tires compare. I do some HPDE's also, so having the extra grip will be fun. I'd say for the price of a set, take-off RE-070's are the best value. -Franz The end of a Legacy http://www.youtube.com/th3franz

rougeben83
use the RE070's for both. Wear 'em out while you save up for a dedicated autox and street tire setup.
robsontuning
use the RE070's for both. Wear 'em out while you save up for a dedicated autox and street tire setup. Thats the problem, I have both. MX are 245/40/17 and I just was given the 225/45/17 RE070. So now I am deciding which will be the daily drivers and which will be dedicated to autocross. Yeah, you shouldve just mentioned the width from the start...Go with as much contact patch as you can in autocross. The End
