Door panel speaker install question

Folks:

Just bought Polk DB 650s for front+ rear doors, 2006 Legacy Wagon, from Crutchfield with the spacer mount kits to limit the mounting depth (I know, some drilling is required). Question: Do you have to remove the *entire* door panel to replace the speakers? When I look at the door panel, it looks like the speaker panel (+ the map pocket cubbyhole) is a one-piece panel that is assembled with the rest of the door panel pieces. Is there a simple way to pop this off, rather than remove the entire panel (difficult door handle removing dance without scratching anything)? I looked at all the audio threads including the sticky's, did not find anything on this subject.

Anybody? Advice/assistance appreciated!!!:icon_conf

the whole panels come off. The lower area on the front is a separate piece, but bonded and screwed together from the rear and not removable.

Don't worry...taking the panels off takes like 5 minutes....front is three screws, three plastic pieces to remove (sail panel, cover behind the latch and the cover over the pull).

the plastic cover over the mount for the side mirrors. it's shaped like a sail. it pulls straight off. no screws under there, but I find it easier to reinstall the door panel with it out of the way, so it's good to take it off.

 never heard it called that?? it's a common spot to mount a tweeter (though not necessarily a good one). take the panel off, mount the tweeter cup or flush it in or better yet, stretch some cloth over and glass it in then bondo and paint. OEM appearance.
