godwhomismike
The is something about the new Jaguar XK - I think it's one of the most beautiful and elegant sports coupes I have ever seen. I know it's a little underpowered - base model is 300 hp and 310 lb ft torque - but the shape, the engine/exhaust sound, the interior - is amazing. The new XKR looks even better plus it'll have 420 hp and 413 lb ft torque good for 0-60 in 4.9 seconds with a base price of $86,500. Top Gear even loved the XK. franklin
If you like that car but find 300 HP too light and $86,500 to expensive check out a 2000-2001 Jaguar XJR. These things have 370 HP 387#/ft a 5 speed Benz automatic. 0-60 about 5.2 1/4 mile in the mid/high 13's at 105. The best news is cherry low mile cars go for 18 to 22K! I just stumbled on some of these on Autotrader. Talk about bang for the buck. Im really thinking about looking into these cars.
Scotty
Top Gear like the car except for the tendency for the car to go airborn at high speeds. Aston Martin V8 Vantage still looks better.
Mines
but the aston is about $20-30 thousand more.
Rubix973
but the aston is about $20-30 thousand more. its worth it in pure aesthetics alone... It doesnt get much better than Astons' attention to detail unless you consider Spykers'...
Mines
dont get me wrong, astons are pure sex. I saw a Vanquish S in on the freeway and in a parking lot, and it was just gorgeous. http://www.fast-autos.net/data/images/662.jpg
