Just recently bought an '05 Legacy LTD in Sept. and am now starting to get turned on to the idea of modding/tuning etc. I don't want to do anything too big because I'll be getting a WRX STi within 3-5 years, but I am interested in any information anyone has about possibly bolting on a turbo? If anyone could direct me to a couple of websites I would appreciate it. All the websites I have been to only have upgrades for the turbo on the GT; I was unsure as to whether or not I could use something like that. Thanks all who decide to help...

Just look through this site;)

The older you get the better the LGT will feel & the STI will just feel plain harsh;)

If you are simply talking acceleration my 5EAT wagon will leave a StageII STI looking @ my tailamps....

If extreme handling is the goal though....that is a different story.

Yeah, that's the main reason I'm getting an STi, I'm all about the handling. The stiffer the better. Also, I've been in love with AWD cars (namely the WRX/STi) since I saw my first rally race. For the moment, while my wife's got me tied down to the Legacy, I just want it to go faster. Apparently the 2.5i is notoriously non-torquey, which I can definitely feel (or not feel, depending on how you look at it). I want to go fast, and at the moment, I want to look good doing it.:icon_cool

no forced induction love for the 2.5i's, thats why they made the GT. Im pleased with mine. Once it is paid off the wife will drive it and I will take her car and trade it in on something awd & turbo-thats the plan so far. Best bet is to due subtle things to it, lower it, rsb, wheels, etc.
...when death calls, Im good. I got caller ID.:icon_bigg

supposedly it has been said that the avo turbo kit for the 2.5i impreza's may work w/ the 2.5i legacy. no one has had the balls or the right mind to do this to a 2.5i legacy yet.

honestly i would've told you to get the gt if you were seriously looking for the power.

the 2.5i produces an ample amount of power (given the basic state of mind) but if you're coming from a power hungry perspective.. then it lacks a lot of power.

just perform your intake delete, upgrade the filter, install a CBE, and possibly headers and also a pulley and you'll be fine. it wont be a GT but it's enough to survive out in the streets.

Oh, and the only reason I DIDN'T get a LGT right off the bat is because the wife didn't like the hood scoop.

I got pwn3d.

You serious? The extra 5-6k wasn't an issue either? just the hood scoop? gosh damn u really did get owned man.
