highlander
I can't find a weight on the older (2004 BBS mesh) wheel to compare with the 10 spoke STI wheel. Anyone know? http://www.wheels-and-rims.com/images/ALY68724U.jpg http://i2.ebayimg.com/05/i/07/fe/a7/f8_12.JPG Vir Est Fatum Ut Perficio Concepta Suus Progenies. - Man is destined to fulfill the capacity of his lineage (i.e. Darwinism)
BuruLGT
I think they're also around 16lbs (not positive) so about the same as the STi wheel.
Xenonk
the mesh I believe was the heavier rim. Keefe
RochNY91TSI
The oem sti bbs wheel weights in a 16.5 lbs (for 2004... 2005+ went up to 19lbs due to the extra width of the rim)
ntp
Though I don't have the WRX optional wheel, I do have a Subaru-specific BBS mesh wheel that's very similar (for pics, see here). The main difference is that mine is an 8.5" wide rim while the option wheel is only 7" wide. Mine weigh ~16.5 lbs on my bathroom scale. The optional wheel is also very similar to the RGR available from Tirerack. They list the 17x7.5" wheel as weighing in at 17.6 lbs. It's got a visibly different center area though and who knows how that affects the weight.
rexster
According to the SPT website, the forged 17x7 BBS rims weigh 15 lbs: http://www.subaru.com/microsites/spt/lookupParts.sptaction?command=&year=2002&model=IMPREZA&trim=WRX+SEDAN As others have noted, the STi rims are ~16.5 lbs, but 7.5" wide instead of 7" for the SPT BBS rims.
