05 legacy gt limited

Recommended Posts

nope

Don't lie to him!!!! the 05's are riddled with problems. Like low gas mileage when the turbo is engaged and the Mod bug that many owners get from the smell of Subaru leather seats that makes owners spend thousands on modifications:lol:

If you can afford College, you probably don't need to go.

Got mine for $22.4 with 22K, took me six months to find it, and I found it in Colorado. I've had it for three weeks and have put: Tires, Rotas, Tint, and GReddy exhaust, oh yeah, and my beautiful knob!!!(titanium shift knob). The only problems that I've had this far, would be my credit card bill!! This car kicks @ss!!!!

As above: instills the desire to modify. For me: STS, performance gauge pack, GY Eagle F1-DS3s, Ion springs, Crucial UP, Cobb DP with HFC, TDC stage 2, Escort RD, subwoofer....

Awesomely capable, dependable, terrific fun car! Only issue I have is lack of factory installed mp3 input for sound system.

The price does seem a tad high for a used, two year old car. Is this the dealer pricing? If so, talk them down a lot... If it's a private seller, you're limited in what you can bargain usually

Yes, but it's a two year old car with 8,000 miles on it.

Either way, I'd expect them to go down to at least $22k. 22.5 isn't bad, but you can do better.

Mileage is only a small factor in depreciation. You have to also take into account the warranty as well as actual condition of the car. Yes, it "only" has 8k miles, but they could have been hard miles. Not to mention that it is used, and the car could have potentially sold for only a few thousand more than the current asking price.

I'm mainly saying that it should go for lower than the current asking price

This is true, and most likely they're city miles (unless you only drive the car once a week I'm not sure how else you'd only have 8k on it :icon_conf)

But it's a low mileage, 2 year old car which is still advertised for quite a bit under blue book. Of course "we" know that blue book is higher then what you can actually get the car for, but I would still say it's not a bad deal. Assuming the car is in good condition that is.

I got my car almost a month ago and paid $22k for it. For this I got a car with 29,700 miles on it, BUT, the front end was repainted (I'd imagine because of rock chips, it wasn't in an accident) which was a nice plus and aside from the fact the previous owners must not have liked warranty work (they actually voided the warranty on a drivers side trim plastic, which falls off) they took very good care of the car. Still has the stock RE92's on it, and at this rate I'd say they'll be good for about 45k miles, so it wasn't driven too hard.

But yes, it does come down to the condition. But if you can get yourself a low mileage, well maintained '05 for 22k I'd say that it's a very fair deal.

Price is high methinks. I know I was lucky, but I scored a brand new 05 LGT unlimited wagon 5MT for $22k + tax. Bought in May 06.

Another used 05 wagon I almost bought could be had for $19k + tax with only 15k miles on it.

-Bought my new 05 MT LGT LMT wagon in Jan. I've put 11K miles on, but I drive a fair amount daily, plus several 500 mile trips to VT and back this summer, trips to Boston (300 mile RT). So, 8K can be reasonable, depending upon the age of the vehicle, etc.

Cutch problem. More than just a stink problem, A significant # fail in the first year. Mine went out at 19k. No surprise to dealer, when it was hauled in from 192 miles away. They gave me a new clutch, no problem and said this one was an improved, modified version????

The longer I have my LegGT/MT/wagon, the more I love this car. Much more fun than my past BMW325/MT/wagon. I have 23k on my car and will want to trade it in around 34k or 44k max. If some of my posts seem negative about SOA, it is because I doubt they will have anything to match this car in the 07/08 model year. At this point, it does not look like Subaru will have a sport wagon product the will allow me to be a reapeat customer.
